Privacy policy
The short version: this site collects almost nothing, and I don't sell what little it does.
What this site is
finnious.com is a static website. There are no user accounts, no comments, no login, and no database of visitors. Pages are plain HTML files served by Cloudflare Pages.
Analytics
I use Clicky to see which pages people read. It records things like page visited, referring site, approximate location derived from IP address, browser, and device type. I use it to decide what to write more of. If you'd rather not be counted, any tracker blocker or a Do Not Track setting will stop it.
The newsletter
If you subscribe, I store the email address you give me and, if you provide it, your first name. That's used to send you email about new writing and nothing else. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and you can ask me to delete your record at any time — I'll do it and confirm.
The list is handled by an email service provider that processes it on my behalf. I don't sell, rent, or share it.
Embedded content
Some pages embed video or maps from other services. Those services can see that you loaded their content and may set their own cookies, exactly as if you'd visited them directly. Their privacy policies govern that, not this one.
Server logs
Cloudflare keeps standard request logs — IP address, timestamp, page requested — as part of serving and protecting the site. That's ordinary infrastructure logging and I don't use it for anything else.
Your rights
You can ask me what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Reach me through LinkedIn and I'll sort it out.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
