Work
Fractional CTO work through Creating Value LLC — mostly multi-location B2B operations that generate plenty of data and get very little back from it. The job is almost never new software. It's getting the right information to the right person at the right time, in a format they'll actually use.
Still running the weekly WeAddBots AI meetup in Memphis, and heading up SEO at Drop The Strap.
Riding
Building back toward a 2027 ride. After the 2019 crash this has been a much slower return than I wanted, but it's a return. Details on the route and the cause are coming together now.
Building
Rebuilt this site off WordPress in July 2026. It's static HTML now — no CMS, no plugins, no update notifications. I can add a post from the command line in about ten seconds, which turns out to be the thing that actually makes me write.
Reading and listening
I keep a running books list. Live music whenever the calendar allows. Still working on the guitar.
